South Side Studios Membership Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

This agreement (‘Agreement’) outlines the terms and conditions of your membership of South Side Studios (‘Studio’). By becoming a member, you agree to comply with and be bound by the terms set out in the Agreement.

 

2. Membership Eligibility

Membership is open to individuals aged 18 and above. Membership is subject to approval by the Studio’s management and may be revoked at any time at the discretion of the management.

 

3. Membership Benefits

3.1 Access to studio facilities when a director of the Studio is on site, which is usually during the hours of 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday. Up to date hours will be posted weekly on our Instagram and website. 

3.2 Access to workshops and events put on by the Studio.

3.3 Free South Side Studios tote bag

3.4 Access to limited addition merchandise

3.5 A Spotify playlist curated by South Side Studios and guest curators

 

4. Use of Facilities

4.1 When using the studios, Members must:

4.1.1 respect the work of other members;

4.1.2 not touch, video or photograph the work of other members without the owner’s permission;

4.1.3 not touch other members’ tools, utensils or any other property without their permission;

4.1.4 maintain the cleanliness of the studios;

4.1.5 ensure the front door is shut properly when they enter and leave the studios;

4.1.6 if they are the last to leave the building, ensure that all doors, including fire escapes, are locked; and

4.1.7 turn off lights when not needed and ensure that all lights are turned off before leaving the studios.

4.2    Members are responsible for any damage they cause to equipment or facilities, whether owned by the Studio or by another member.

 

5. Payment Terms

5.1 Membership fees must be paid in full at the beginning of each billing cycle.

5.2 Payments can be made by bank transfer to the South Side Studios bank account

 

6. Cancellation and Termination

6.1 Members may cancel their membership at any time. No refunds will be issued for the remaining period of the membership term.

6.2 The Studio reserves the right to terminate a member’s membership at any time for:

6.2.1 any breach of the Agreement;

6.2.2 any failure to pay the membership fees;

6.2.3 any conduct which the Studio considers to be detrimental to the interests of the Studio; or

6.2.4 any conduct which the Studio considers to be harmful to another member or inappropriate in any way.

6.3    If the Studio terminates a member’s membership pursuant to paragraph 6.2, the member will not receive a refund.

 

7. Code of Conduct

Members are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner at all times. Members who engage in harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behaviour of any kind will be asked to leave the studios; their membership may be terminated immediately.

 

8. Liability

Save as required by law, the Studio is not responsible for any personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property while using the studio.

 

9. Privacy

The Studio respects your privacy. Any personal information provided by members will be kept secure, used solely for the administrative purposes of the Studio and not shared with any other party without your consent.

 

10. Changes to Terms

The Studio may amend these terms and conditions at any time. Members will be notified of any changes via email or posted notice at the studios.
